As a 83 year old female I have been using and loving Chat GPT and did a mini art piece using Dall E. Very intriguing technology. Guess if I can learn something new members of Congress should have the capability and resources to learn about it!
Great post. Hard to get the dinosaurs in the government to understand tech or AI when they barely use email.
They need to work together, (hence the meeting) because tech titans, who really are running the world, can't create nor pass the necessary laws. The next issue will be dealing with these tech titans who have their own agendas and will do anything to protect their products and that probably means lobbying to pass laws to stifle their competition so they come on top.
It will be a great dance for the next few years and for the next election cycle in 2024.
When there members of Congress who ask questions like this (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cuCk4ofsTkM), I have VERY little trust in their ability to address the challenges (and opportunities) AI presents.
This reminds me of when Congress tried to "grill" Mark Zuckerberg - wonderful comedy :)
